SDL levy income from SARS file to allocated funding: period imports with validation, per-employer income history, and the statutory splits that fund mandatory and discretionary grants.

🧭1. SARS Levy Import Process

From the SARS file to money a grant can be paid from.

Import the SARS SDL file. /LeviesAndGrants/LevyImport/LevyImportOverview — the monthly file lands whole, then is validated row by row. Levy import

Validation separates clean from queried. Employers that do not match the register are queried rather than silently absorbed.

Allocation feeds the ledger. Mandatory and discretionary portions are allocated on the configured split, funding the grant processes in the DG and Levies modules.

Import the SARS SDL file for the period.

  1. Choose the period and file.
  2. Run the import; rejected rows are listed with reasons.
  3. Re-run after fixing source data — imports are idempotent per period.

  1. Search an employer (SDL number) to see its levy history.
